  • Any person can join VHCS LTD from all the segments of the market including:
  • Public Service employees.
  • Employees of Kenya Industrial Estates
  • Government Institutions/Parastatals
  • Employees in Private Companies and NGO’s
  • Self –Employed Individuals
  • Self-Help Registered Groups and Community Based Organizations.

Fill in membership forms that can either be downloaded from our website or can be obtained from our offices.

  • Attach a Copy of the National Identity Card, KRA PIN and a coloured passport size photograph.
  • Entrance fee Kshs. 1,000/-
  • Minimum Monthly Contributions currently Kshs. 2000 and Kshs. 150 being VHCS Benevolent Fund Monthly & Kshs.300 Administrative funds.
  • Share Capital of Kshs. 50,000 initial deposit of Kshs. 2,000 and Kshs. 2000 for the next 24 months.
  • Acquisition of property and transfer to members at affordable rates.
  • Undertake building operations by such means either directly or indirectly
  • Acquire and relinquish lands, buildings and rights over land and buildings by purchase, lease or any other means as may be necessary for the attainment of these objects.
  • Established in 2013 by the staff members of the Kenya Industrial Estates a public Corporation established under currently the Ministry of Co-operatives and Micro and Small Enterprises.
  • All our plots come with ready tittle deeds. You will not have to follow up with the Lands commission/Ministry of Lands.
  • This is monthly savings made to the Society by its members and is non –withdrawal except in complete termination of membership or upon death.
  • It’s the money invested in a Society by its shareholders. It’s a long term source of finance. It represents a unit of ownership. All societies are required by law to have minimum share capital. In Viwanda Housing Co-operative society the minimum is Kshs.50,000 e. 500 shares with a par value of 100/- each. For that reason this money cannot be withdrawn but only transferable in the event the member ceases membership.
  • Yes, all a member needs to do is to instruct the society in writing to transfer the deposits to another person.
  • Yes, what you need to do is place a monthly bank standing order for deposit.

  • Enter the Amount KES
  • Enter your M-PESA PIN and Send
  • You will receive a confirmation SMS from M-PESA with a Confirmation Code

  • The Society is owned by the Members

The Board and Management are managing the Society as per the Co-operative societies ACT, Rules, and Society By-Laws. The Society has implemented the use of good Corporate Governance and the Code of Ethics hence stability is guaranteed. The Society holds AGM’S yearly where reports and accounts are presented to the members. The Society is also regulated by the Government through the Ministry of Co-operatives and Micro and Small Enterprises.
